Expansion Update 10/30/2015

Plattsburgh International Airport is still in phase II of its $55 Million Dollar expansion.  We are excited to share with you this week’s news and updates about the expansion.

What you can expect next:
  • Work will continue on the new baggage handling system for “Baggage Out”.  The new system will have a longer conveyor, with capacity to hold more luggage when transporting it out to the plane.
  • The concourse bathrooms with continue to get renovated with new tiling.
  • Painting, taping and finishes in the expanded ticket counter area will occur. This area will allow for more ticket counters to easily accommodate our expected increase in passengers.
  • Construction crews will begin curb work in front of the terminal. Please follow the walkways marked for use.
Tidbits to remember:
  • Passengers please be aware that the inner two lanes leading to the terminal entrance, closest to the building, are blocked off. The roadway is being excavated to install a new drainage area and will not be reopened until October 2015. Walkways will be marked for use.
  • Also, please pardon the noise during this phase of construction. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Airport Staff or Police Office on duty.
