Expansion Update 4/3/2015

The Plattsburgh International Airport expansion is still in phase II. Work that has been completed during the previous period includes:

  • East canopy and Seal Tower removal near completion
  • Vestibule Foundation work
  • Continued Structural Steel work
  • Block Work in Outbound Baggage area
  • FIS Foundation Work, Sequence 1
  • Entrance area to terminal – steel tie in demo (former concession area)
Upcoming work will include:
  • Under-slab utilities to begin for New Departure Terminal and Outbound Baggage within next two weeks*
  • Stairwell slab work for New Departure Terminal *
  • Elevator foundation in the New Departure Terminal *
  • Cold form framing in New Departure Terminal
  • Utility Building area continued block work
  • Jet Bridge Foundation 1

No airport operational impacts to be reported at this time.
Passengers please be aware that there will be ongoing construction to the entry area of the terminal. The double door entrance to the east side of the building may be blocked off this week; however, entry will still be possible through the west side. Walkways will be marked for use.
