Update on Terminal Happenings - April 2018
Plattsburgh International Airport is currently working on several exciting upgrades that were part of New York State $38 million investment in Plattsburgh International Airport last year.
Here are the details to date:
Concession: The airport is currently working with Tailwinds Concession, an industry leading airport concessionaire, to construct a restaurant and bar space in the secure passenger area, located to the right of TSA. This facility will feature a bar area, as well as hot food items including pizza, sandwiches and salads as well as a sitting area. The space will have a “Taste of NY” kiosk, allowing passengers to shop for locally sourced NY products. Completion of this project and opening is slated October.
Federal Inspection Station: PBG is currently constructing a Federal Inspection Station that will allow PBG to welcome and clear international travelers. This project has been approved by the Customs and Border Agency and is slated to be completed in June.
Bus Station: As part of current round of funding PBG is researching the feasibility and need to construct a bus terminal on site. Engineers and airport officials are in the very beginning stages of this project, more to come.
